GE Whatman* Vacuum-Type Glass Membrane Filter Holders

Borosilicate glass holders can be rapidly disassembled for cleaning, loading and autoclaving. The choice of sintered glass frit filter supports (recommended for filtration and biological analysis) or 304 stainless steel supports (recommended for proteinaceous solutions) permits filtration of a wide range of aqueous and organic solvents. Model FG47TF (889-14986) has a separate PTFE gasket that fits around the outer edge of the support screen, allowing autoclaving of the membrane in place by preventing it from sticking to the ground glass surface. The gasket will not chip or flake, as compared with conventional PTFE-coated glass flanges.
