C.B.S. Scientific* PCR* Workstations

Designed to protect against contamination in sensitive PCR amplification reactions. UV irradiation of working area prior to use blocks replication of contaminating DNA sequences by causing adjacent pyrimidines to undergo dimerization. Protects against cross- or airborne-contamination by limiting exposure of experimental set-up to open lab environment. Available in widths of 30, 36 (single door closure) and 48 inches (double door closure). Recommended when the workstation is used to decontaminate apparatus and reagents. Each workstation is equipped with an acid-resistant black Formica work surface, single or double door closures, tempered safety glass fascia, 110V duplex electrical outlet, two fluorescent lamps, a single 254 nm UV germicidal lamp and 12-hour timer with time-hold position. CE-marked.
