The 25-watt transilluminators provide the high intensity and brilliant UV back-lit fluorescence. The higher watt tubes supplies an increased light diffusion while maintaining the high UV intensity.

A stainless steel frame reduces contamination of samples and prevents corrosion. The powerful cooling fan maintains low filter surface temperature to reduce sample damage. The unit includes a UV blocking protective cover, which can be angled to suit your viewing and access to the filter surface.

Models are available with shortwave, midrange or longwave ultraviolet. Variable intensity settings (on selected models) allow UV illumination fluorescence viewing and photography applications. The LO setting reduces photonicking or photobleaching of gel samples during prep work, allowing for extended gel preparation time. The HI setting is used in analytical documentation work.
