Magnetic beads are prepared by covalent immobilization of native protein G (from Streptococcus sp.) to BlackPearl Magnetic Beads by CNBr activation coupling chemistry.

Protein G shows strong binding affinity to Fc region of several classes of mammalian immunoglobulins, BlackPearl has been used as a reliable tool to purify monoclonal and polyclonal IgGs from ascites, serum and cell culture supernatants. It is an ideal choice for affinity purification and/or fractionation of IgG subclasses which binds poorly to protein A such as bovine, goat, rat, and sheep IgG.

These products are supplied as suspension in a buffer containing 100 mM Tris Cl, pH 8.0, 500 mM NaCl, 0.05 % NaN3, and 0.02 % thimerosal.
