Elite-1301 (6% Cyanopropylphenyl) Dimethyl Polysiloxane series for AutoSystem.

Elite-1301 Columns
The Elite-1301 Columns are fused silica GC capillary columns coated with a 6% Cyanopropylphenyl and 94% Dimethyl Polysiloxane stationary phase. The 6% Cyano substitution imparts a dipole moment to this stationary phase. Elite-1301 columns have an intermediate polarity.

6% Cyanopropylphenyl/94% Dimethyl Polysiloxane Phase
The Cyano groups in the Elite-1301 columns impart a unique selectivity towards compounds that posess dipole moments and those that are proton donors and acceptors, such as alcohols and nitriles. Elite-1301 columns are extremely versatile, exhibiting long column lifetime, low bleed, and high maximum operating temperatures.

Primary Applications
These columns are ideal for the analysis of nonpolar to polar compounds and acidic to basic species, all within a single analysis. They also are used for the analysis of alcohols, oxygenates, pesticides, and insecticides. The Elite-1301 phase is equivalent to the G43 phase used in the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Methods for analyzing residual solvents in pharmaceutical products and is equivalent to the 624 phase used in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods for Volatile Organic Pollutants.
