Polar Phase (Normal Phase) Chromatography (NPC) uses a polar stationary phase (unbonded silica, bonded amino or cyano group) together with a nonpolar mobile phase (e.g., hexane). NPC is useful for functional group analysis, isomeric separations, purification of organics, and sample cleanup.
