The MM1 columns are used for extraction and very selective purification of basic compounds. They have a 0.09 meq/g exchange capacity, 0.9 mg/100 mg.
The MM2 columns are used for extraction and very selective purification of very basic compounds. They have a 0.10 meq/g exchange capacity, 1.0 mg/100 mg.
The MM3 columns are used for extraction and very selective purification of acidic compounds. They have a 0.14 meq/g exchange capacity, 1.4 mg/100 mg. The MM3 is also used with organic matrices and cationic bases in addition to the general methods below.

All three columns are ion exchange with a pH range of 1-8.
