The BBL CultureSwab Plus Collection and Transport System features Amies Agar gel media with oxygen-scavenging agents, for sampling of both aerobic and anaerobic organisms.
For throat, vaginal, skin, and wound specimens use CultureSwab Plus Amies Gel without Charcoal. Contains a sterile polyurethane foam single swab with Amies gel but no charcoal.
For throat, urogenital, and wound specimens use CultureSwab Plus Amies Gel with Charcoal.
